Battle droids were units of droid soldiers most notably used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems against the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Several variations of battle droids were used by both the rebellion and the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. These droids were known for their strange, clumsy, and often stupid personalities, making them not so effective soldiers at times, and were mostly criticized for having bad aim.
