Confederacy of Independent Systems was an Separatist government formed during the Clone Wars. It was led by the former Jedi Knight, Dooku, and the cyborg General Grievous, fighting against the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars up until the execution of Order 66 and the rise of the Galactic Empire, in which the leaders of the Separatists were eliminated by Darth Vader on Mustafar. Some members of the Separatists would join, or at least support, the early rebellion, such as the tactical droid Kalani in the years before the Galactic Civil War.
