Clone Troopers were the main infantry soldier in the Republic army during the Clone Wars, and the predecesors to the Imperial Stormtrooper. They fought against the battle droid armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, and would later pave way for the Galactic Empire after Chancellor Palpatine executed Order 66, forcing all clones to betray and kill their former Jedi allies. After this, the Clone Army would become the main forces of the new Galactic Empire for the next few years, until they were all decomissioned by Palpatine himself, and replaced with new human recruits, Stormtroopers. Years later, a pair of three clone troopers, Rex, Wolffe, and Gregar would join the early rebellion against the Empire.
